WHY WE NEED YOU

The Director of Marketing role is focused on developing and implementing strategies across channels throughout the marketing funnel to accelerate growth. You will drive high-performance campaigns by coordinating across cross-functional teams, and own marketing channel tactics focused on delivering measurable results. This role will oversee channels including performance marketing, affiliate, organic social, partnerships, influencers, and content marketing among others. You will be a key leader driving double-digit YoY revenue growth by balancing awareness building activities with conversion-optimized strategies.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Own the holistic view of the digital growth plan, defining core strategies, objectives, campaigns, and KPIs throughout the marketing funnel
  • Hire and manage a high-performance team of channel managers across digital (Paid Social, Organic Social, Google, Display, Affiliate, Content Marketing) and relationship-based initiatives (Partnerships, Influencers)
  • Oversee performance tracking and calibration to drive decision making around budget allocations and forecasts to drive optimal returns.
  • Partner with internal marketing team members to develop strong messaging and story-telling and to create new campaigns and achieve desired campaign goals
  • Test and grow new acquisition channels and activities to improve overall marketing sales and efficiency. You will cultivate a culture of innovation, constant optimization and testing
  • Establish cross-functional relationships across Creative, Data & Analytics, Product, Finance, Operations, and Member Services to ensure successful rollout of media strategies and campaigns.
  • Manage relationships with key external partners including media, agencies, and martech vendors

WHO YOU ARE

  • Analytical / Quantitative: You are data and analytics obsessed - ability to quickly develop, measure and optimize marketing programs against quantitative frameworks.
  • Organization and planning: Strong project management skills including conceptualization, driving alignment, planning resources, managing deadlines and objectives, delivering analysis and recommendations
  • Communication: You have strong collaboration, communication and presentation skills to inform, encourage and implement impactful marketing initiatives
  • Collaboration: You have a strong work ethic and a natural ability to collaborate well with others across the organization and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly-fluid environment
  • Technical Knowledge: You have a proven track-record of developing marketing strategies, executing, measuring, and delivering on performance targets and a love for optimizing results. You have knowledge of Google, Meta, and programmatic advertising platforms. You have the ability to concept and implement A/B tests on creative/copy and targeting levers.
  • Experience: B2C or subscription marketing is preferred, but not required
  • Location: Preferred to be based in the Boston, MA area
