About This Role: Sales Director
We’re looking for our first Sales Director to help us develop customer relationships, drive growth, and build out the sales function within New Stand. You will have an exciting opportunity to shape sales and customer relationship management from the ground-up, defining how we work both independently and with strategic partners to grow the pipeline and close prospects.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales process from first contact through pursuit strategy, proposal and presentation development, and successful close
- Manage overall sales process and provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
- Aggressively research, identify, qualify, and target potential clients
- In conjunction with Marketing, develop pursuit strategies to initiate contact
- Develop and maintain 'C Suite' and decision-maker level relationships communicating New Stand’s value as a employee experience partner
- Exercise creativity and independent judgment in developing and evaluating sales and marketing strategies in selling our broad portfolio of services
- Develop and lead strategy process with regards to the competition, account-based sales, and new market expansion
- Identify needs and source customer specific solutions for those needs
- Utilize resources from across New Stand in order to design and deliver customer outcomes
- Develop relationships with strategic partners to build alternative pipelines
- Represent New Stand in the marketplace through various industry conferences and events
- Build relationships personally with prospective C-Suite customers
- Provide appropriate market and competitive information
Qualifications
- Based in the New York City metro area
- 5-8 years of sales management experience plus 5+ years of top performing sales experience with increasing leadership responsibilities and a mix of startup and larger enterprise experience
- Must have experiences in food service, co-working, or hospitality sales
- Proven ability to track, prioritize and drive multiple concurrent projects
- Strong problem-solver with ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
- Highest level of integrity and management of confidential information
- Ability to think, plan and sell strategically
- Possess a consultative, customer centric selling philosophy
- Demonstrate the ability to build alliances and influence key decision makers, both internally and externally, without formal authority
- Managing customer relationships through creative problem solving and customer savvy
- Self-starter who requires minimal degree of direct management
- Operational acumen and savvy, including pro forma development
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Efficient organizational skills
